Chapter Activities
Chapter Woman of the Year and Top Ten Nominee Chosen
After judging, Linda Bateman, chair of the
Woman of the Year Committee (and 2010
Woman of the Year), announced that
Verdie Henderson is our 2011 Woman of the
Year and Karen Mashburn is our 2012 Top Ten
Nominee.
Congratulations to these amazing ladies.
JOINT MEETING in APRIL! Charisma Charter Chapter has joined forces with the Outlook
Positive Express Network and The Colony Charter Chapter to bring a special program
featuring National President - Tina Gandy, National Vice President - Tina Ackles and our
District II Vice President - Lorie Burch. The meeting will be on THURSDAY, APRIL 19th
and the location is the LAS COLINAS COUNTRY CLUB in Las Colinas at 4400 N O'Connor
Boulevard.
Fund Raiser Updates
Our current fundraiser is the TOWER OF CARDS. An Eiffel Tower featuring more than $800 in gift cards and gift certificates
thus far! Tickets are $5.00 each - 3/$10.00 or 7/$20.00. All chapter members are encouraged to participate in our efforts to
add to our Professional Development Fund. See Janice Curry, Fundraising Chair for more details!

Charisma Charter Chapter is LEVEL 1 Best Practices Again
We are proud to announce that Charisma is #1 AGAIN!
Members of the chapter who attended the National Conference in Irving, Texas were honored to parade
across the stage to receive our 5th Best Practices Level 1 Award, the highest award for ABWA groups. The
chapter had won 30 star awards prior to receiving this new award.
